Staying Young

When we were small, we always pretend to be adult. We put on our father’s jacket when he’s not around. We mimic the way he talks. We went “hehem..hehem..” as if your throat is always blocked and we have to constantly clear it.

Now that I have become an adult, I realized that staying young has nothing to do with your actual age. It is how you live it. Here are my rules of staying young:
  • Be fit, exercise – make it a habit to go to gym at least once a week. I was 78kg when I was in my fattest stage in my life. My blood pressure was in the borderline of being unhealthy. I felt like 10 years older than my actual age and I actually look older. Now that I have exercise regularly, my health is in superb condition and (sometime) I look younger than my age :) haha
Are you overweight? Calculate your BMI.
BMI = WEIGHT (kg) /HEiGHT2 (m2)
BMI Categories: Underweight = <18.5 weight =" 18.5-24.9" overweight =" 25-29.9" obesity =" BMI">

  • Eat sensibly - As you aged, your body metabolism rate goes down, your body no longer burn fat as fast as it used to be. Do you realize how easy it is for you to put on weight now than when you were 18? As we grow older, everything has become slower. Adults move less, adults don’t jump around.

Less Movement = Less Fat Burned = More food turn into FAT = so eat sensibly

Fat Brad, anyone?

  • Stay hip – look around, see what’s the most popular guy is wearing. Turn on E! Channel, see how the beautiful people dress.

  • Be healthy and fit, not freaky!

  • Drink water – Drink a lot of water! 7 glass a day.
  • Go Green – I mean, eat your veggie and fruits.
